Watch:

1. vDS Overview –note that demo is in the old vSphere Client – go to HOL to get the look and feel of the current version
2. Configuration: Migrate to vDS, Add VMKernel Networking, SR-IOV, Networking Policies, VLANS in vSphere, Load Balancing, NIOC, Link Aggregation Groups, Port Mirroring, Netflow (~ 30 mins)

Do:

1. In HOL, use the search function to find and complete this lab:

• HOL-1910-01-SDC – Virtualization 101: Introduction to vSphere – (Module 2 up to completion of configure vDS AND practice the configuration tasks in the videos above) (1 hour 30 mins – including configuration tasks)

2. Practice Questions @TheSlog (26 questions)
3. Prepare to explain 3 things you learned about vSphere Networking this week
